To further the interests of fast pitch softball and officiating the game.
To assist officials, coaches and players to acquire a strong knowledge of the playing rules of fast pitch softball.
To promote uniformity in the mechanics, interpretation and application of rules.

General membership meetings/training will start on January 11, 2015 and will be held every 2 weeks for the first 6 meetings at MVHS. Be sure to check the calendar to make sure when the meetings are!!

- Washington State Umpire Academy at Salmon Creek Sports Complex (vgsa) on March 20-22. It is strongly recommended for umpires with 0-3 years of ASA experience. Only 20 spots are available!!!! Washington State Umpire Academy
Hurry and sign up for either the school and or the academy. They will fill up fast!! If you’re in doubt of which one to attend, make sure you check with Scott Webb to see which one is best for you.
EFPOA Scholarship: The winner of the 2014 EFPOA scholarship is student athlete Michelle Brincefield of Skyview High School. Congratulations to Ms. Brincefield on her award. The members of EFPOA wish her well in her future studies.

Interested in becoming an Umpire? New umpire training for the 2014 season has ended. If you are interested in becoming an umpire for the 2015 high school and/or ASA season, please email us with your contact information and we’ll get you started! All New officials: if you are planning to work High School games this year you need to get all your paperwork in before you will get a game. You can find the paperwork under GENERAL DOCUMENTS. They will be highlighted in RED.
All Members should complete an EFPOA INFORMATION SHEET if you have not filled one out before or have done something postseason since the last time you filled out the form.

We would like to thank and congratulate the the following umpires who were awarded high school state tournaments in 2014 to represent EFPOA:
Dennis Schodt was on 3rd base for the semi-final game and then 1st base on the championship game for the 3A which was held in Lacey.
George Floyd worked the semi final game at first base and then the 3 & 4th place game behind the plate. George went to the 1B-2B state tournament in Yakima.
Chuck Perine was awarded the the 4A tournament in Spokane.
Mike Buskuhl was awarded the 2A state tournament.
